They work for you, I suggest you band together and fire them. Why don’t you all hire an accountant to review the books. I bet you’ll find something isn’t quite right.

Collaborate a meeting involving the entire community and discuss how the problem should be resolved.

get the owners together and have a meting to hire another management company. They have to have a reason to make inreases to the asc,. fees monthly.

What do your condo by laws say? It is normal to pay fees to cover expenses for common areas. Whether the tenants can afford the fees or not won’t make the costs any less.

If there’s been a large increase in the fees, you might ask for an accounting of the costs that required the increase, but you will still have to pay.

Seek legal advice your landlord will have to get an eviction notice before he can throw you out especually if you have a long term contract but seek legal aid and know what your rights are
sorry it’s not very helpful as the cost of a breif will cost just as much

pay them the bill u r suppose to pay.

if they cashed the check, they will not b able to ask u for more because it’s the law.

just make sure u write a memo on the check so it’s clear.

If the bills are legitimate you have no choice but to pay them. You can also join the board and vote to have the management company fired if you want to become more active.

My advice to you is that if you think that they are being unreasonable, then all the tenants form together and call a strike, not to pay anything until this issue is resolved. You may need a lawyers advice.Call your New York State Bar Association who will refer you to a lawyers that deals in these matters. Many times you can ask them a question over the phone and theres no charge, unless you go to their office which is about $25.00 consultation fee.
